What is included in the domain transfer
We handle the registrar transfer of an already registered domain to IKUNIX and coordinate the technical switch to the required server infrastructure. In most cases an auth code or EPP code from the previous registrar is required. Existing DNS records can be documented before the transfer and configured again in the IKUNIX domain management or the selected DNS system. Important: a domain transfer initially transfers domain management only. Website files, databases and email mailboxes are not migrated automatically and must be moved separately if required. Depending on the domain extension and registry, transfer, renewal or annual domain charges may apply in addition to the one-time IKUNIX transfer service.
A domain transfer moves the management of an existing domain from one registrar to another while the domain name itself remains unchanged. Depending on the domain extension, an auth code or EPP code from the previous provider is usually required.
The technical switch is prepared so DNS and nameserver settings can be transferred in a controlled manner. Website files, databases and email mailboxes are not automatically included in the registrar transfer and can be migrated separately if required.
